Above The Clouds
As far as the East is from the West, for hundreds of miles, to the highest point possible, to the depths of my eyesight, everything, everywhere, is pure. I cannot see anything man made outside of this capsule. The clouds look like a dance floor waiting for someone to start a party; the sun is playing the most beautiful of melodies; the colors of the sky have created such a beautiful lighting, no producer could possibly match the magnitude of its impact. The view is indeed spectacular, everyone should experience it at least once in their lifetime. There’s a beauty about flying; not only do you get to see the world from a remarkable perspective, it feels as if you get to step into God’s world for awhile. He painted the sky this morning, and brushed the clouds over the world with beautiful delicacy for as far as my eyes can see. All of the busyness and chaos this world brings day to day has faded away. God’s gentle healing hands of love and provision have created everything I can see.
As much as I wish I could regularly find places as sacred as the clouds are to me, it isn’t easy. However, just as the earth has its man made vs. God created aspects, our hearts also can become man made. Has my heart become man made, or still delicately formed by God?
When people encounter me, do they feel high above the clouds, or lost in worldly chaos?
“But your hearts must be fully committed to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands, as at this time.”
1 Kings 8:62
