Hey You

Hey You,

Beautiful. Precious. Loved. Fighter. Warrior. Servant. Worshiper. Lover. Chosen. Beloved. Friend. Treasure. Redeemed……Compromiser.

Yes, you.

You need to stop, stop now, stop today. Don’t wait until tomorrow; tomorrow becomes the next day, and the next day the next. On behalf of the you that you are beginning to cover up, stop what you are doing. Stop right here. Stop right now. Break your bondage and chains, and be free.

Stop the voice telling you that you have to compromise with the world in order to be lovable.

Stop the voice telling you love and happiness are synonymous.

Stop the voice telling you people change.

Stop the voice screaming to be jealous.

Stop the voice giving excuses.

Stop the voice feeding fear.

Stop the voice making you feel bound.

Stop the voice bringing heartache.

Stop the voice speaking doubt.

Stop the voice causing worry.

Because, right now they are just voices, but if you don’t stop them they become you. They become your voice. Not just any voice, the voice you speak out, and the voice you feed into others. Before you know what happened the voice that was once in you, is now of you, and it seems to be all you have to offer the world.

Daughter of The King, approach the world with a gentle and sincere attitude. However, you don’t have to be of this world to be lovable.

Do not search for the happiness this world tells you to find from love. Happiness is nothing compared to joy. The greatest love of your life came with unspeakable PAIN. He died an agonizing painful death; that is love. Love and happiness are not synonymous. You already have the greatest love of your life and once you accept it and embark on that journey you will be experiencing indescribable joy. Even in the heartbreaking moments of pain there will be beautiful peace and joy.

“Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

1 Peter 1:8-9

Quit making excuses for your negative transformation. The King of Kings created, shaped, and formed you. You were created with a unique one of a kind soul; it matches no other soul in the world. There is one you, only one. Do not let this world change you! If your change is a pull from others to be more like THEM and not a pushing of your soul to be more like HIM, then stop now.

Everyone else seems to be so perfect, complete and accomplished, right? Stop comparison, stop the jealously, stop the frustration of feeling less. Why are you trying to be someone else? Life is not a game to win or lose. The girl to your right and the girl to your left cannot do or accomplish what you can. You cannot do what they can. You fight to fulfill their purpose, a purpose you will never be able to fulfill. Meanwhile, your job, your life path, your purpose, is sitting untouched and unfulfilled. The saddest part, nobody else can touch your path either. In the process of trying to be something you can never be, nobody is being you. Go be YOU.

You are like a shattered bottle, full of leaks and cracks. Only one thing can truly fill you up, and it is your creator. Everything else has a bottom. You are always going to be broken. Only the bottomless God of love and grace can keep you full. You precious, are broken, be broken and full.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:3

Do not compromise in your life any longer. Do not make excuses. Do not make excuses for your compromising. Do not look back and defend when you cut the corners.

You compromised once, twice, three times, and before you know what happened you wake up to a stranger everyday. You feel fear, doubt, heartache, and worry. You feel bound. You compromised. You chose the path those uniquely designed feet weren’t intended to walk. You chose to cut corners. You chose that one compromise; the one compromise that was the first step in leaving your unique spirit behind.

Choose it no more, Alannah.

Choose to be the captivating woman you were designed to be, not a compromiser.
